Pre-K to 8th Grade

Early Childhood:

Parents of children from birth to 3 years-old are sent family letters every 6 months to share ideas for forming the faith of their young children. If you have not been receiving these letters, please contact us at stferd@psci.net
Our Pre-school and Kindergarten children are invited to take part in our released time program from Ferdinand Elementary School.  Classes are held on Wednesdays from 8:10-9:10. Pre-school age children not attending Ferdinand Elementary are also encouraged to join our religious education program.

Preschool - Grade 4

Children in Preschool through Grade 4 are invited to take part in our released-time program from Ferdinand Elementary School.  Classes are held on Wednesdays. Sessions include prayer, Bible stories, crafts, discussions, activities and more. 

Grades 5th and 6th

The released-time program for 5th and 6th grade students attending Cedar Crest Intermediate School is at 7:50 to 8:50 AM on Tuesday mornings at the Spiritual Life Center. Bus riders should get off the bus at the Spiritual Life Center. After class, the parish will provide bus transportation to Cedar Crest Intermediate.

Starting at the 5th and 6th Grade, students may attend Tretter Time: an opportunity to hang out with friends at the Tretter Center. Look below for details. 

Grades 7th and 8th

The released-time program for 7th grade students attending Forest Park Junior High is from 1:50 to 2:50 PM on Wednesday afternoons at the Spiritual Life Center. The program for the 8th grade students is from 1:50 to 2:50 PM on Tuesday afternoons. Buses will bring the students to the church from Forest Park and participants are dismissed to buses at Ferdinand Elementary at the end of the day.

Tretter Time

Tretter Time is held from 3:00 to 5:00 in the Tretter Center during the first week of each month from September to May. Tretter Time for the 5th and 6th grades is on the first Friday. The time for the 7th and 8th grades is on the first Wednesday. 

5th and 6th graders ride the bus from Cedar Crest to Ferdinand Elementary where an adult will walk with them to the Tretter Center. Parent may pick up students during this time.

faith formation setting that will work the best for you and your child.
